Two men have been charged in connection with a luggage theft where a substance thought to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.

This legal action stems from an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A three-year-old girl was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
