Indianapolis Colts Battle Falcons in German Capital – Week 10 NFL Action

Hello, fussball enthusiasts. Wie gehts? Alles klar I trust on this excellent early start to the tenth week coming directly from Deutschland. The Olympiastadion in Berlin to be precise where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the mighty Colts (seven wins and two losses) face off against the Atlanta Falcons (3-5). The fifth game played on soil in Germany and the initial in the nation’s capital.

Pre-match Highlights

When it comes to glittering attire that is an absolute belter from the Olympic figure skater on the opening flip. A slight fluff from the broadcast team there as we hear “which team got the coin flip?” from the presenter with an accidentally live microphone.

So, the Colts have won the toss and have chosen to get the ball first. The Colts' offense will be taking the field soon. Can the quarterback recover after a rough one in Pittsburgh?

Not to be outdone the vocalist performing the Star Spangled Banner has some of the largest shoulder pads you are bound to notice. The fashion picks are impressive today. The game is about to start after a choir performance for the German anthem. Elegant.

First Quarter Action

Colts 0-0 Falcons 13:30, 1st quarter

Here we go! And we have early drama after the Colts running back catches a screen pass, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right side then fumbles … only for his offensive lineman to recover the fumble with the recovery. Indianapolis quickly moves into Atlanta's half.

Still scoreless at 10:51

And the drama keeps coming as the Indianapolis attempts a fourth-down conversion. The gamble fails to pay off as Josh Downs cannot reel in a fastball from Jones. Prior to the failed attempt Jessie Bates put a massive tackle on tight end Mo Alie-Cox. Atlanta's defense started strong as they attempt to end their string of three losses. Following that, Sauce Gardner makes his first appearance!

Score Recap

First score: Colts lead 6-0 at 8:36

Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The tight end drops a clanger, he was very open but the ball just swishes through his hands. That moment reflects the high draft pick's professional journey to date.

So far, so disappointing but it only gets worse for the Atlanta as they turn over possession to the Indianapolis on the 23-yard line. The Falcons quarterback is sacked and fumbles the football.

A nifty 22-yard run from Ashton Dulin sets the running back up to easily run for a touchdown on the next snap. The placekicker misses the point after attempt. Mistake.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

Penix Jr puts the fumble behind him by marching his Falcons down the field for a touchdown. Drake London makes some chunky receptions to put them in the scoring area then the defense opens up for Tyler Allgeier to run untouched into the end zone through the middle of the defense for a 13-yard gain. The running back finishes it off for a short scoring run of his own. Advantage Atlanta.

Additional Week 10 Games

Additionally, the jumbo package starting at 12pm CST/1pm EST/6pm GMT (with home teams first) is as follows:

  • (5-4) Panthers v Saints (1-8)

  • (5-3) Bears v New York Giants (2-7)

  • (3-5) Texans v Jaguars (5-3)

  • (4-4) Vikings v Ravens (3-5)

  • (1-7) Jets v Browns (2-6)

What a feast. I’m planting my flag on Minnesota and Baltimore playing out the game of the day.
