FC Barcelona Set to Play Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

Barça revealed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held an open training session at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
