The relatives of young people missing after a tragic inferno at a venue in a Switzerland's alpine town are enduring an agonising wait for official news and requesting any details about their loved ones online.

The inferno engulfed the a popular bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Swiss Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of January 1st. Circulated video show the ceiling catching alight as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have indicated that it could take considerable time to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and hurt another over a hundred. A spokesperson said on Friday that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to name the remaining few.

In the interim, relatives have been posting on social media to appeal for any news about their missing relatives who were in attendance that fateful night.

Desperate Searches for the Missing

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his family.

The Italian Golf Federation has stated that he is no longer with us, without mentioning the fire, paying tribute to a "talented young man who carried with him passion and authentic values."

His father, reportedly stated that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An official spokesperson has stated that a official announcement of his death is awaited.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also unaccounted for. His mother explained that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with friends and found himself at the venue.

"A companion said they fled after the fire started and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he they were separated," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a identifiable gold chain.

One of his teachers stated, "I remember his good nature and positive demeanor, coupled with great maturity. Often offer to get me a coffee."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives full-time in the country, was also present on that night, according to media.

Her brother has published an urgent request online, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also reported missing.

Officials from her other nation say they are actively engaged with the case.
