A top Russian General Killed in the Russian Capital Explosion, Officials State.

A senior Russian general has been declared dead following an blast in Moscow, according to official statements.
The incident took place on Monday morning when an IED planted beneath a vehicle was set off, causing the death of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov.
Sarvarov was the head of the armed forces' operational training department.
Investigators stated that one theory under investigation suggests the alleged involvement of Ukrainian intelligence services. To date, Ukraine has not issued a comment.
Location of the Attack
Officials have been are examining the scene, which is said to be in a south district of the metropolis.
Media coverage suggest the detonation occurred in a parking area adjacent to a residential building.
History of Assaults
Since the beginning of the full-scale conflict in Ukraine, a number of Russian military personnel have been attacked within Moscow.
This new event comes after other serious incidents, including:
- General Yaroslav Moskalik was died in a vehicle explosion in Moscow earlier this year.
- General Igor Kirillov perished in late 2024 when a device hidden on a scooter was set off from a distance.
While a informant earlier attributed Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such claims are not formally acknowledged as a matter of standard practice.
